I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LAUREL MD where I ate at Hans Carryout and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some interesting details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
