I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in LAURA OH where I ate at Laura's Tall Tales Inn and I read a new article on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some more interesting facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
