I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in LARGO FL where I ate at Wendy's Restaurants and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and bought a few pieces of clothing.

I must say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I discovered some interesting facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
