I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LARGO FL where I ate at Green Parrot Pub and Eatery and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
