I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LANSDOWNE PA where I ate at China King and I saw a new piece to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I discovered some more amazing facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
