I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in LAKE PARK GA where I ate at Barbaralous Diner and I saw a really interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I must admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found out some incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
