I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in LAKE JACKSON TX where I ate at Dairy Bar and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After some more research I found some more amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
