I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in LAKE FOREST IL where I ate at Deer Path Inn (Hha) and I saw an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a little more research I discovered some other incredible details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
