I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in LAGRANGE OH where I ate at Village Pizza and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found some other incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
