I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in LAFITTE LA where I ate at Jans Restaurant & Sweet Shop and I saw an interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a few basic items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found out some other incredible details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
