I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in LAFAYETTE LA where I ate at A & B Henderson and I came across an interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found some more interesting details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
