I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in LA GRANDE OR where I ate at Cock & Bull Villa Roma and I came across a really interesting article about bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some basic items of clothing.
I have to say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
