I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in KOUNTZE TX where I ate at Catfish Reds Seafood and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After a bit more research I found out some more interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
