I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in KOLOA HI where I ate at Keokis Paradise and I came across an interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found some more amazing facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
