I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in KNOXVILLE TN where I ate at New City Cafe and I saw an interesting article to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found some other incredible details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
