I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in KNOXVILLE TN where I ate at NASCAR Cafe Office and I came across a new article about bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
