I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in KINGSTON MINES IL where I ate at Kingston Bar & Grill and I saw an interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I discovered some other amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
