I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in KINGMAN AZ where I ate at Rainbow Diner and I saw a new piece on bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and bought some items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I found some more interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
