I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in KENNER LA where I ate at New Orleans-Days Inn Airport/Kenner and I read a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a couple items of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a bit more research I discovered some other amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
