I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in KANSAS CITY MO where I ate at Italian Gardens and I came across an interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I should say I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found some other interesting facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
