I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in KALISPELL MT where I ate at Grainery and I came across a new piece on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I have to admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some other interesting facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
