I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in JOHNSON CITY TN where I ate at Crazy Tomato Pizza Pasta Salads & Subs and I read a really interesting article about bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After some more research I found out some more interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
