I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in JENKINTOWN PA where I ate at BUCA Di Beppo and I read an interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some more amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
