I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in JEFFERSON CITY MO where I ate at Fairfield Jefferson City and I came across a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a little more research I found out some more amazing details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
