I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in JANESVILLE WI where I ate at Angelos Restaurant and I read an interesting article about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I discovered some other incredible details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
