I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in JACKSONVILLE FL where I ate at Mill Cove Golf Club - Restaurant and I read an interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a bit more research I found some other incredible details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
