I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in JACKSON MS where I ate at Fernando's and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found out some interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
