I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in INVER GROVE HEIGHTS MN where I ate at Club O'S and I read a new cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought some items of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found out some more interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
