I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in INDIANAPOLIS IN where I ate at Schneider's Pub and I came across a new piece about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a few pieces of clothing.
I must say I was extremely impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After a little more research I found out some other incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
