I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in INDIANAPOLIS IN where I ate at Edwards Catering and I came across an interesting article about bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I must tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some other amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
