I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in INDIANAPOLIS IN where I ate at Robertson's Restaurant and I saw a new piece about bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought some items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found out some more amazing details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
