I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in IDAHO FALLS ID where I ate at Db's Steak & Brew House and I came across a new article on bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found out some other incredible details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
