I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in HUBBARD OH where I ate at Francesco Pizzeria and I saw a new article on bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I discovered some interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
