I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in HOWELL MI where I ate at Diamond's Taverns and I saw a really interesting piece about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got a couple basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

Bamboo Clothing HOWELL

After a little more research I found out some more interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
