I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in HOUSTON TX where I ate at Chow's Cafe and I came across a new article about bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.

I should tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found out some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
