I move around a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in HOPKINS MN where I ate at White Castle System - Hopkins Location and I came across a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a few items of clothing.

I should say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
