I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in HOLYOKE MA where I ate at Springdale Lunch and I saw a new cover story about bamboo. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got a few items of clothing.

I should tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I found out some other incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
