I move around a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in HOLMES PA where I ate at R P Mcmurphy's Bar & Grill and I came across an interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I have to admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some more amazing facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
