I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in HOBE SOUND FL where I ate at Caddy Shack and I saw a new article on bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
