I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in HILLIARD OH where I ate at Luigi's Pizza and I saw a really interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.
I should say I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found out some more amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
