I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in HIGHLAND PARK MI where I ate at Highland Park Deli and I saw a really interesting article about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some items of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some other interesting details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
