I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in HIALEAH FL where I ate at Leons Coffee Shop and I read a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After a little more research I found some amazing facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
