I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in HENNING MN where I ate at Korner KAFE and I came across a new article about bamboo. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I discovered some more incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
