I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in HEMET CA where I ate at Premier Pizza and I saw a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I discovered some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
