I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in HELLERTOWN PA where I ate at Dimaio's Restaurant and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a couple pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found out some more interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
