I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in HARRISONBURG VA where I ate at The Galley and I came across a really interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.

I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I discovered some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
