I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in HALEYVILLE AL where I ate at Galley Restaurant and I saw a new piece on bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a few pieces of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I found some other incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
