I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in HACKENSACK NJ where I ate at Arena Diner Restaurant and I came across a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a couple items of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some other interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
