I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found some more amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
