I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in GREENWICH CT where I ate at Elm Street Oyster House and I came across a new piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few items of clothing.
I should tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a little more research I found some amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
